There are 4 main assessments for Foundation Years 1 & 2 trainees, which include:
Initially, trainees are to take notes on 2 case records of patients they have recently seen. The trainee is then required to discuss and present one case, as selected by their assessor, who will then provide structured feedback. This exercise enables the FY trainee to demonstrate their level of clinical decision-making, application and use of medical knowledge and their understanding of the ethical and legal framework.

objective of these tools is to collect and review feedback from co-workers
to form a 360-degree assessment. This will also enable the trainee and
supervisor to identify skills, which need to be developed.
